Construction is progressing exceptionally well at Workshop17 Hazelwood, and with each passing week the vision for one of Pretoria’s most exciting new workspaces is becoming increasingly visible. Located at 26 Oaktree Avenue, on the corner of Oaktree Avenue and 18th Street, the development sits in the heart of Hazelwood, a neighbourhood that has quietly transformed into one of Pretoria’s most desirable lifestyle destinations. Now, it is getting a workplace to match. Workshop17 Hazelwood is scheduled to open its doors at the end of February 2027.

FROM LIFESTYLE NEIGHBOURHOOD TO BUSINESS DESTINATION

Together, these spaces are designed to accommodate everyone from individual entrepreneurs and small teams to established companies looking for a new Pretoria headquarters. Workshop17 will also bring its established flexible-workspace model to the development, combining private offices and coworking with meeting facilities, high-speed connectivity and access to the broader Workshop17 community.

CONSTRUCTION IS FLYING

Perhaps the most exciting part of the project right now is simply seeing how quickly it is coming together. The building has risen out of the ground and construction is progressing extremely well. What existed as plans, renders and an idea only months ago is rapidly becoming a physical part of the Hazelwood skyline. Standing on the upper floors now also reveals something that was difficult to appreciate on paper: the views across Hazelwood and Pretoria are exceptional.

The structure is beginning to show the scale and presence the completed building will have, while still feeling connected to the lower-rise, leafy character that makes Hazelwood special. Every construction milestone brings the project closer to its next major one: opening the doors at the end of February 2027.
